Calmily Featured on TV: A Milestone Moment

The day has finally arrived Calmily has officially been featured on CBS Long Island/The Donna Drake Show! What started as a simple idea to bring calm into everyday lives has now reached living rooms across the region, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this milestone with you.

Seeing Calmily on Screen

There’s something surreal about watching your mission take shape on television. To see Calmily this weighted pillow that began as a quiet solution for sensory needs now being introduced to thousands of families, caregivers, and professionals feels both humbling and exhilarating.

When I first dreamed of Calmily, I imagined it in bedrooms, classrooms, therapy clinics, and even tucked into carry-on bags for travel. Today, thanks to this TV feature, more people than ever are learning how deep pressure can soothe the nervous system and bring calm when it’s most needed.

Highlights from the Segment

During the interview, I had the chance to talk about:

The story behind Calmily — how my years as a pediatric physical therapist inspired me to create a tool that goes beyond traditional weighted blankets.

Graded weight design — the heart of what makes Calmily unique. Each pillow can be used on its lighter side (1-2 lbs) for gentle grounding or heavier side (4–5 lbs) for deeper input, giving you options in a single tool.

Sensory-safe comfort — no zippers, no Velcro, no scratchy tags. Just soft Egyptian cotton that feels good against the skin.

Handmade with purpose — every Calmily pillow is sewn in New York by neurodivergent and I/DD artisans, making each one both a product of care and a symbol of inclusion.

Why This Moment Matters

This wasn’t just about Calmily being on TV it was about spreading awareness. So many families are still searching for tools to help with regulation, focus, stress, and sleep. By sharing Calmily’s story publicly, we’re opening doors for conversations around nervous system health and normalizing the fact that everyone kids, adults, parents, and professionals sometimes needs extra support.

It also felt like an affirmation of the message I’ve been carrying for years: that calm is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. And tools like Calmily aren’t “extras” they’re everyday supports that help us show up as our best selves.

What People Are Saying

Since the segment aired, I’ve already heard from parents, teachers, and even professionals who said:

"Inever realized weight could be targeted this way, it makes so much sense.

" This is exactly what my child needs for bedtime."

" Finally, something I can use at my desk without drawing attention to myself.”

Hearing these reactions reminds me why this work matters. Calmily isn’t just about selling pillows it’s about changing how we think about stress, regulation, and support in daily life.

What’s Next for Calmily

This TV segment is just the beginning. The holidays are coming a season that brings both joy and stress. Calmily is ready to be there for families during transitions, travel, and those moments when emotions run high.

I’m committed to continuing to share resources, education, and support not only for families navigating sensory needs but also for anyone who craves calm in a busy, noisy world.
